I’m really loving all the black and white music videos out right now! This song is on repeat on my summer playlist.
“We’re The Kids” by Parade Of Lights caught my ear on Alt Nation on SiriusXM yesterday. It’s got that bright, happy, dance-y vibe that all good summer anthems possess; I predict you’ll hear this tune on the radio all summer long. You can find the Los Angeles based band online over at facebook.com/paradeoflights.
a beautiful song by two of the most talented fellas i know, Gerry Paul and Alan Doherty (both members of now-defunct Irish band Grada). their new project is called ALDOC. if this tune is anything to go by, the new album will be stellar.
The benefit of being back in Nashville with my own car is that I can surprise my parents with a visit to their place in Chattanooga, which is one of my favorite things to do. So yesterday at 5pm I texted Mom to find out what their dinner plans were; they were gone til 8, which gave me just enough time to get home and hide my car in the neighbor’s driveway (thanks, Joy!). Once they were close, I called Dad to tell how much I wished I could be home on Father’s Day. I met them in the kitchen and watched the look of confusion turn to a big ol’ grin on his face when I said “maybe we can go for frozen yogurt later *tonight*” and he looked up to see me and Ollie standing in the doorway. Success!
